About me
I’ve been sewing and creating for over 50 years, starting way back in 4-H, where I first discovered my love for fiber arts and crafting. Over the years, I’ve worked in a family-owned fabric and craft store, designed a sewing curriculum I still teach from today, and taken on projects ranging from theater costumes to marine canvas, upholstery, and even components for skydiving equipment. One of my favorite things is helping people bring their ideas to life—from that first spark of a concept all the way to a finished project. For the past six years, I’ve been working in retail, where I helped customers find the right products for their projects and share what I’ve learned about new crafting tools, technologies, materials, and trends.
In addition to my crafting life, I treasure being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Some of my happiest moments are spent with my grandchildren—whether we’re sewing and crafting together or baking up something tasty in the kitchen. Passing along my love for creativity to them is one of the greatest joys in my life.
